Stat of the Day Update: 10/12/12 to 16/12/12

It was a better week for SotD this week. Mind you it couldn't have been worse than the whitewashing we endured in the previous seven days. Matt secured our first winning bet of the week, when Big Jer was a 3rd place finisher at odds of 20/1 and he quickly followed that up 2 bets later with our first outright winner of the month: an 11/2 chance backed into 4/1 in the form of No No Bingo on Sunday. I'm also aware that some of you did marginally better and grabbed some of the 6/1 briefly on offer from Paddy Power.

The position for December is still far from ideal, but has improved dramatically this week and we're hoping/expecting further improvement.

Selections & Results: 10/12/12 to 16/12/12

10/12: 1.50 Musselburgh: Everaard (advised 15/2 BOG) : 3rd at 4/1
11/12: 1.10 Fontwell: Kaituna (advised at 3/1 BOG) : unplaced at 4/1
12/12: 3.15 Kempton: Lunette (advised 12/1 E/W BOG) : unplaced at 14/1
13/12: 2.20 Taunton: Big Jer (advised 20/1 E/W BOG) : 3rd at 10/1
14/12: 1.55 Cheltenham: Midnight Chase (advised 9/2 BOG) : non-runner
15/12: 11.55 Doncaster: Zaru (advised 16/1 E/W BOG) : unplaced at 18/1
16/12: 2.10 Hereford: No No Bingo (advised 11/2 BOG) : won at 4/1

10/12 to 16/12:
2 winning bets from 6
P/L: +3.00pts

December:
2 winners from 13 = 15.38% S.R
P/L: -4.00pts
POI = -30.77%

Overall:
114 winners from 364 = 31.32% S.R
P/L: +118.13pts
POI: +32.145%
plus a 12pt profit from 1 forecast => +130.13pts from a 365pt outlay = +35.65% POI

    It has certainly been a tough month for the stats. Not just your good selves but generally speaking.

    I know my own portfolio has taken a bit of a “kicking” these last two months (generally speaking the whole bloody year has been a dissapointment!!) but I remain faithful the inevitable “upswing” will follow and your followers will be rewarded handsomly for keeping the faith!

    You will remain one of my favourites on my toolbar for a long time to come.
    Keep up the good work and many thanks for a satisfying read every day!

    Regards,

    Ed

      Thanks for the kind words, Ed.
      In researching the daily SotD selection, I invariably come across and consider several horses that you look at for your service too.
      Without making excuses, it has been a tough winter so far.
