Tuesday's pick goes in the...

20:20 Chelmsford

Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I'll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day's race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.

Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can't give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.

Estrella Eria @ 3/1 BOG

Estrella Eria is a lightly raced four-year-old that appears to be incredibly well suited by the all weather course at Chelmsford.

This Mastercraftsman filly has put together an extremely impressive run of wins over course and distance, and although this has seen her shoot up the handicap, I have a feeling she hasn't finished winning just yet.

The following stats back up today's selection:

  • Estrella Eria over course and distance is 4/4 (100%) for 34.25 pts
  • trainer George Peckham for the past 30 days is 2/6 (33.33%) for 5.25pts
  • Peckham's record at Chelmsford over the past year is 5/15 (33.33%) for 31.25 pts
  • in handicaps, he is 11/55 (20%) for 22.5 pts
  • and jockey Andrew Mullen for the past year here at Chelmsford is 4/29 (13.79%) for 5.25 pts us...a 1pt win bet on Estrella Eria @ 3/1 BOG which was available with most firms at 7.00pm on Monday. P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats above are to Betfair SP, as I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you. I always use BOG bookies for SotD, wherever possible, but I use BFSP for the stats as it is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns I use to support my picks. If that's unclear, please ask!
