Wednesday's selection goes in the...

13:30 Nottingham

Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I'll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day's race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.

Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can't give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.

Finale @ 6/1 BOG

A Class 4, one-mile handicap...

...and a three-year-old filly by Holy Roman Emperor that has enjoyed a couple of wins over the summer when the going had 'soft' in the description. She is now seven pounds higher than when winning the second of those two races, but back in conditions that suit I am hopeful of a big run.

The following statistics are applicable today.

  • Finale is 2/4 (50%) over a mile for 7.60 pts
  • she is 1/1 (100%) on good to soft going for 1.10 pts
  • she is 1/1 (100%) here at Nottingham for 8.50 pts
  • trainer Hughie Morrison here at Nottingham over the past year is 3/16 (18.75%) for 8.50 pts
  • her sire Holy Roman Emperor with middle distance runners is 68/532 (12.78%) for 27.08 pts
  • and with three-year-olds 77/515 (14.95%) for 87.50 pts us... a 1pt win bet on Finale @ 6/1 BOG, which was available from Bet365 and Boylesports at 7:45 pm on Tuesday, but to see what your preferred bookie is offering, simply... here for the betting on the 13:30 Nottingham

Don't forget, we offer a full interactive racecard service every day!

Here is today's racecard

P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats above are to Betfair SP, as I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you. I always use BOG bookies for SotD, wherever possible, but I use BFSP for the stats as it is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns I use to support my picks. If that's unclear, please ask!
