Stat of the Day, 16th December 2012

Zaru ran fairly well yesterday, though his jumping was less than polished, and he came home in sixth place of the twelve runners at 18/1. Ultimately, though, that's a loser and we're off in search of a winner this afternoon, at what may unfortunately be the last ever meeting at this track, in the…

2.10 Hereford

In his relatively short time as a trainer in his own right, Charlie Longsdon has made a real name for himself, and has positive stats at a fair  number of tracks, one of which is here at Hereford.

His eleven winners from 41 runners have been worth a tremendous 111.88 points profit, and today he saddles a single runner, No No Bingo.

This fellow looks progressive, and won on his penultimate start in a two and a quarter mile soft ground handicap chase. This being a two and three-eighths of a mile soft ground handicap means conditions look pretty suitable.

The jockey is SotD's mate, Noel Fehily, again, so no particular worries on the pilot score. It is a competitive handicap but No No Bingo is just two pounds higher than when winning two starts ago, and on the same peg as when second last time out, and ought to have every chance at 11/2 BOG with BetVictor. Win only is what the record will show.

Thanks all. Was nice to bag a winner for followers, especially after an emailer called me a ‘fraud’ yesterday! (No sympathy replies needed – it goes with the territory, and those who suffer the losers enjoy the winners).

Its hard in your game to stick your head above the parapet and give your opinion

It’s in all our gift to match our opinion with you and your team and then make our bets or not

The retorts that have been coming through on these posts are unexplainable ….and are essentially from novices / gold diggers / poor punters who can’t see good opinion past their last losing bet

I am a well serious punter …yet still believe the offerings on the SotD link and the whole of Geegeez make me wiser and wealthier , and thats whether I choose to bet the selections or not

Keep up the faith Matt & Chris … the true Punting community who understand this game are right behind you – win lose or draw
