Friday's pick goes in the...
Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I'll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day's race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.
Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can't give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.
War Glory @ 5/1
This four year old colt by Canford Cliffs has had a promising career so far, and there looks to be plenty of improvement possible as he has had just the seven starts to date. His first run of this season was a very respectable 2nd (by a head) in a race over course and distance that was not far short of this one in class, and he will have hopefully come on a lot for that run.
He runs from the same mark here today, and I don't think we will need to see a huge improvement for him to take this.
The following stats are applicable.
- trainer Richard Hannon for the last 30 days is 13/65 (20%) for 42.36pts
- here at Lingfield over the past year he is 17/110 (15.45%) for 56.55pts
- jockey Hollie Doyle does well at Lingfield, and for the past year she is 8/40 (20%) for 10.16pts
- on the all weather tracks War Glory is 2/4 (50%, including two second places) for 1.11pts
...giving us... a 1pt win bet on War Glory @ 5/1 which was available from Ladbrokes, Boylesports and Betvictor at 19:10 on Thursday. To see what your preferred bookie is offering, simply...

REMINDER: THERE IS NO STAT OF THE DAY ON SUNDAYS
P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats are to Betfair SP, as (i) I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you and (ii) although inferior to the BOG odds we secure, BFSP is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns quoted.
